ElastoSure Validated Against Hygrothermal Aging on PU Waterproofing Membranes

Thermal aging tests and humidity tests run separately give you two wrong answers. K-Load runs both simultaneously, the way your component actually lives.

Continuous 60°C water-bath immersion is one of the more field-relevant accelerated-aging conditions for below-grade and ponding-water PU waterproofing applications. In an independent study, two commercial-grade PU formulations were immersed for up to 49 days; ElastoSure was fit on only the first half of that window and validated against the rest.

Both formulations reached roughly 50% tensile-strength retention by the end of testing. ElastoSure's fit, built from first-half data alone, still supported a predicted natural service life of 16.3–22.7 years, within the 15–25 year range the one-component PU membrane category (products such as Sika's Sikalastic and Alchimica's HYPERDESMO) is conventionally specified against.
